According to his daughter Dorothy, Wilford felt bad that he never served in WWI. The physical said he had a bad heart. (See disqualification below) He always felt the records were mixed up and somewhere in France a soldier died of a heart attack in 1918. Wilford had wonderful health and lived to a ripe old age.
